The DARE project is highlighted in a recent HiPEACinfo77 in the article titled “Advancing Europe’s digital sovereignty: The role of EPI, EUPEX, EUPILOT, and DARE”, which explores Europe’s progress in building a competitive and autonomous high-performance computing ecosystem.
Since the launch of the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking in 2018, significant advances have been made in developing European technologies for HPC systems. The article, authored by Katarina Vukušić (FER) and Romana Konjevod (BSC), highlights how flagship initiatives such as European Processor Initiative, EUPEX, EUPILOT, and DARE are laying the technological foundations for Europe’s digital sovereignty.
Within this landscape, DARE plays a key role in advancing the adoption of RISC-V-based technologies, contributing to Europe’s ambition to develop independent, open, and high-performance computing systems. The article also looks ahead at the next phase of HPC development in Europe, emphasising continued collaboration and innovation across the ecosystem.
